Recent staff transitions at the MDOE Data Systems Helpdesk

Due to recent staff transitions, the Helpdesk is currently being staffed only by Ryan Cunningham, with augmented assistance from other members of the data team. The data team is in the process of hiring additional staff, but there will be a learning curve when these new people come onboard. We do not wish for people sit on hold for long periods of time, and we want to get our new staff up to speed as soon as possible. We ask that from now until Monday, October 22, please communicate with the Helpdesk only via email, rather than phone, as much as possible. Helpdesk emails are automatically put into our ticket tracking system and will be answered in the order that they are received. The tickets and emails can be used for training new staff while not requiring the end user to sit on hold for an answer. The emails can also be forwarded to other Maine DOE staff for assistance. If your situation does require verbal communication, you can state that in the email and the Helpdesk will call you back. The Helpdesk team appreciates your patience and understanding during this transition period.
