Medical Examiner's Office Identifies Body of Man Found in Greenland Cove
Augusta - The Maine Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed that the body found Monday in Greenland Cove, near Bremen is that of 63 year old Glenn Murdoch of Bremen. The cause of death has been ruled a drowning.
The Maine Marine Patrol recovered Mr. Murdoch's body this Monday after it was found at approximately 11:00 am by a commercial fishing vessel.
The Marine Patrol had been searching Round Pond Harbor, nearly 2 nautical miles south Greenland Cove, since the previous Monday when Mr. Murdoch was reported missing after his skiff was found adrift in the harbor. His boat, an 18 foot aluminum Starcraft was moored nearby.
Members of Marine Patrol along the US Coast Guard and the Bristol Fire Department conducted an initial search of Round Pond Harbor and the local shoreline. The search continued through the week and into the weekend and included members of the Maine Marine Patrol/State Police Dive Team and Marine Patrol personnel.
