Remote Aquaculture Lease Hearing - Western Bay Oyster Company, LLC

On October 13, 2020, at 2:00 p.m., the Department of Marine Resources will hold a public hearing on the application of Western Bay Oyster Company, LLC for a 3.36-acre, 10-year standard aquaculture lease on a site located off Old House Cove/Spruce Point, Western Bay, Bar Harbor, Maine, for suspended and bottom culture of American/Eastern oysters.

The hearing will take place remotely. Interested persons may participate in the remote hearing by computer or phone. To help manage the proceeding, interested persons need complete an online registration form no later than 5 p.m. on October 6, 2020. After the registration deadline, DMR will contact interested persons with information about how to join the remote hearing. If you are unable to register online or need assistance with the form, please contact DMR.

If the October 13, 2020 hearing is postponed or cannot be concluded by a reasonable hour, the hearing will be continued on October 15, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. in the same remote format.
