MANDATORY-LPA Training Class
Date: August 13, 2019
Location: The Island institute-386 Main Street
Town: Rockland ME
Per changes to DMR Regulations Chapter 2.90 (2)(G)(1) to be eligible to renew an LPA License, in 2019 or in any subsequent year, the applicant must have completed any educational requirements established pursuant to 12 M.R.S.A 6072-C(3-A), enacted in 2017. The number of LPAs has expanded in recent years, and the intent of this law change, which was proposed and supported by the aquaculture industry, is to ensure that new entrants are informed about the biosecurity, animal health and public health risks associated with aquaculture activities. (Please note that all LPA license holders are required to take this course by law, regardless of whether or not they also hold a lease.)
You MUST RSVP and attend one of these courses in order to be eligible to renew your LPA license for 2020.
You can RSVP to Angel.Wilson@Maine.gov or by calling 207-624-6546. Please include in your email which class you want to attend, and how you will be making payment for the class.
