Drinking Water Program Reorganization
In an effort to improve customer service and operational efficiency, the Drinking Water Program is pleased to announce an organizational change. Historically, each public water system has been offered two principal points of contact by the Drinking Water Program regarding compliance-related questions and requirements – one Compliance Officer and one Field Inspector. Effective immediately, all public water systems will now contact one person for all compliance activities – a Public Water System Inspector.
The Public Water System Inspector will oversee all direct compliance-related activities, including regular inspections (sanitary surveys), Notices of Non-Compliance for violations, sampling frequency changes, treatment requirements, on-site technical assistance and emergency response needs. Under this new structure, if you have any compliance or regulatory questions, your Public Water System Inspector will be the person you contact at the Drinking Water Program.
Public Water System Inspector Districts
Each Public Water System Inspector is assigned to oversee all public water systems within a certain “district” of the state. The maps linked below detail the boundaries of these districts and identify each Public Water System Inspector responsible for the given districts.
