IV. NARRATIVE
Joe Plourde of Cianbro called in a spill of hydraulic oil. Cianbro was contracted to do some upgrades at the Dragon Cement Kiln in Thomaston. During the course of operations a boom truck unloading materials burst a hydraulic hose spraying oil to the ground. It took 22 gallons to refill the tank, thus the estimated volume of the spill. The soil was quickly excavated and stockpiled on site. I sent a spill letter to Kelley Gates at Dragon and they arranged to dispose of the soil on site in the cement kiln. No site visit was required, and no further action is anticipated. If you have to have a spill, not a bad location eh?
