IV. NARRATIVE
A plumber was working in this basement and inadvertently dropped a wrench on the filter assembly of this heating oil tank. The leak went unnoticed until the homeowner saw a crimson bead hanging from the fire-o-matic valve, touched it with his finger, and came away with the lingering odor of fuel oil on his digit. Consumer's Fuel was hired to correct the problem and stop the leak. No oil odors or threats to groundwater exist. No further Division of Response Services action is expected at this time.
