What does it mean to be a Certified Business-Friendly Community?
- You will receive recognition on the State of Maine DECD website
- Your community will become a key part of Maine's Business Attraction strategy
- Your community will receive two Business-Friendly Community signs
The Governor is seeking applications for the Certified Business-Friendly Community Program. Applications for certification must be made by a Community. Nominations for applications for certification can be made by Chambers of Commerce, Regional Development Authorities, Trade Organizations, Businesses or individuals. A volunteer scoring panel will review and score the applications received. Applications for the 2018 program are due September 7th and must be submitted in electronic format to firstname.lastname@example.org. All communities that become certified will receive recognition on the State of Maine DECD website, a certificate, and two “Certified Business-Friendly” signs.
