Keep Maine Healthy
The State of Maine has expanded its COVID-19 testing capacity.
Through partnerships with the Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), a number of “swab and send” sites provide COVID-19 tests free of charge to people who feel they need one, even without an order from a provider. Those sites, which send samples to the State lab for testing, are listed below.
In addition to these swab and send sites, Maine DHHS also partners with Walgreens to provide drive-through rapid COVID-19 antigen testing at no cost to qualifying individuals who have symptoms of COVID-19. These sites are separately listed below.
Some other testing sites are available but limit testing to their own patients, or people with an order from their primary care provider. People interested in a test at those sites should call ahead and ask questions about access, hours, and costs. For more information, visit Get-Tested-COVID19.org.
This list and the website are being updated frequently in collaboration with Maine DHHS. People who are concerned about their exposure to COVID-19 are encouraged to contact their provider.
