Welcome to the State of Maine Online Absentee Ballot Request Service

Maine election law provides that an absentee ballot application may not be made available more than 3 months before the election for which the application will be used. Please check back after December 3, 2019 to use the Absentee Ballot Request Service. The next statewide election is the:

March 3, 2020 Democratic and Republican Presidential Primary Elections / Special State Referendum Election

If you are a UOCAVA voter (uniformed service or overseas voter), you may complete and submit a new Federal Post Card Application (posted here) to update your voter registration and request absentee ballots for all elections in 2020. You can submit a scanned copy of your completed and signed FPCA to the Elections Division at UOCAVA.CEC@maine.gov at any time.

Uniformed Service & Overseas Voters

Use this option if you are a Uniformed Service or Overseas Voter (also known as a UOCAVA voter). You must be a Maine registered voter and also meet one of the criteria listed below.

  • Uniformed service member on active duty or spouse or dependent
  • US Citizen residing outside of the United States
