Known Errors in the 2000 Medical Fee Schedule

The printed version of the 2000 Medical Fee Schedule contains the following errors:

Section 6 (9) incorrectly reads: "For those procedures having no code listed in Appendix III of this fee schedule, payment shall not exceed 90 percent of the charge for service."

This change was not adopted as part of the July 1, 2001 changes.

Section 10 (3) states that the modifier 50 is reimbursed at 50% of the maximum fee. This should state modifier 50 is reimbursed at 150% of the maximum fee.
