Ways to File Your Unclaimed Property Report

  • HRS Pro FREE Software - Download and install the nationally accepted holder reporting software to your computer. You can copy and paste from a spreadsheet into this software to create an encrypted file. Write the file to a CD and mail it to us or email an encrypted file to up.holderinquiry@maine.gov.
  • Email (Secure & Encrypted) - Send us an email at up.holderinquiry@maine.gov indicating that you wish to transmit your unencrypted report via email - DO NOT include your file in the initial transmission as that is not encrypted or secure. Learn more (PDF, 612kb).
  • Secure Online Data Entry - Use our online reporting service to enter and file your report information via a secure internet connection (this method is not recommended for holders with more than 10 properties); or
  • Manual Paper Report - If you have 10 items or less to report, you may choose to file a paper report using the Unclaimed Property Reporting Forms and Instructions.
