Barry Pulkinen, dob 9-6-61, was found with a severe head wound on the side of the road in Indian Purchase, just outside of Millinocket on 5-7-88. He died five days later at Maine Medical Center. It was theorized at the time that he was murdered because his body was moved from the alleged place of occurance in a parking lot. It is possible that he was lying in the parking lot passed out and was hit by a vehicle, whose driver panicked and moved the body to a different location up the road. A small paint chip was found on the victim's jacket.
