David Mair

Case date: 1992

Town: Fryeburg

The victim was last seen leaving his place of employment, Veno Electric, in Conway, NH, on Thursday, July 9, 1992 around 1400 hours in his gray van.

Mair failed to show for work on July 10, 1992, which was unusual for him. On July 9, 1992 at approximately 1630 hours, the Androscoggin County Sheriff's Department investigated a single motor vehicle accident on Route 11 near Tripp Lake in Poland. The vehicle involved was Mair's 1988 gray van, ME reg. 16407R.

On July 15, 1992, Mair's body was discovered in woods off an old logging road behind the Mair residence. Cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound to the head.
