Troop E Highlights 10-05-09 to 10-12-09

Tr. Hashey responded to Charleston for a report from a male that works at the Mountain View Juvenile Correctional facility that his wife had agreed to let two strangers claiming to be from out of state, and working in Old Town to set up their camper and stay in their driveway. The next morning the husband told them they had to leave as both he and his wife were going to work. He left for work and about 1 hour later his wife called and stated that after he left, both camper subjects attempted to enter the residence several time without knocking or announcing themselves. By the time the husband returned home the camper subjects had left. The camper subjects were located and given a criminal trespass warning.

Tr. Cookson responded to Corinna for a report from a male that his neighbor had threatened him with a knife. The complainant stated he did assault the neighbor. The neighbor was arrested and transported to the Penobscot County Jail.

Tr.’s White, Anderson, Hashey and Vittum along w/Sgt. Millett responded to I-95 MM185 in Bangor for a report of a crash that resulted in a complete closure of the northbound lane of I-95. A vehicle traveling at about 70 MPH in the passing lane lost control, struck the guardrails, bounced into another vehicle, which started a chain reaction crash, which ended up blocking the Interstate. There were no injuries as a result of this crash.

Troop E assisted Dexter P.D. when they located a woman w/Alzheimer’s that left her residence in Lakeview operating their vehicle, and was later located knocking on doors in Dexter looking for her vehicle. The husband retrieved his wife, but the vehicle has yet to be located.

Tr.’s Willette, Hashey, Snow, and Edwards along w/Sgt. Brooks responded to I-95 MM 227 in Lincoln for a report of a vehicle southbound in the northbound lane. While units were shutting down the northbound lane of I-95, and getting in position to stop the vehicle, it turned around, heading northbound in the northbound lane. The vehicle then took a crossover heading southbound in the southbound lane. The vehicle was finally stopped at MM 221, in the southbound lane.
