Troop E Highlights 09-14-09 to 09-21-0909/14/2009 Troop E assisted Penobscot S.O. with a pursuit that started in Garland, went into Dexter, then into Sangerville, where it ended at a residence. The pursuit speeds never got over 45 m.p.h. The original reason for the stop was erratic operation. The operator was arrested by Penobscot S.O. Troop E responded to Kenduskeag for a report from a female that she had been threatened by her ex-boyfriend, after she left him. The threat involved killing her w/ a firearm. Investigation revealed the threat actually occurred in Brownville, however the vehicle that the female thinks the ex-boyfriend is driving was seen driving past the residence where she is staying in Kenduskeag. Information was that the ex-boyfriend carries a .38 cal derringer either on his person or in a zipped pocket over the visor of his vehicle. Brownville P.D. will be primary on the threatening case. Tr.s Stedman, Fiske, and Hamilton along w/Sgt. Brooks, performed a bail check on the subject that pulled the gun on Tr. White a few weeks ago and found him to be in violation of his bail, in still possessing dangerous weapons to include, a firearm, a compound bow, and hunting knives. He was arrested for the bail violation and transported to the Piscataquis County Jail. Tr. Coolen responded to Carmel for a report of a motorcycle crash w/injury, in which the operator was complaining of pain all over his body, but the worst pain was in his chest. He stated to the dispatchers that he remembered nothing prior to the crash. Preliminary investigation showed possible OUI. The operator was life flighted to EMMC where a blood sample was drawn for a legal blood alcohol. Tr. White and Sgt. Currie responded to Kenduskeag for a report of numerous shots fired from Rte 15. Investigation located three .45 cal shell casings. Tr. Yankowsky responded as an ERT. Investigation continues. Troop E along with help from Troops C and F, Traffic Division and CID III attended the Blue Mass in Bangor on Sunday. State Police provided a color guard for posting the colors, made up of Sgt. Pelletier and Tr. Clark (both Troop F), Tr. Birmingham (Troop C), and Tr. Grant (Troop E). In addition, Sgt. Gardner (CID III) was there w/the CID III evidence vehicle, Tr. Fiske (Troop E) with the 1942 Ford Cruiser and Sgt. McAlister (Traffic Division), Tr.s Snow and Willette (Troop E), pipes and drums. |
