Troop B Weekly2/11/2013 Trooper Physic conducted a speaking engagement at the law enforcement program at Lewiston High School. Trooper Physic spoke about ethic and morals in law enforcement, and conducting interviews. Trooper Smith investigated a theft of personal checks and charged a 28 yr old female after 3 transactions were made with the checks in the town of Limerick. She was charged with Theft and Forgery. Trooper Fillebrown had 6 K9 calls for drug searches including 1 for Probation and parole and 2 for MDEA. Trooper Fillebrown continued to proffer a burglary suspect who is sharing all the information he can remember about his burglary spree that went on for months in several counties. He indicated that there was so many that he could not remember them all. That suspect also had 2 grand jury indictments handed down against him from Tpr. Fillebrown’s investigation. Trooper Casey responded to a report of a woman being threatened by her husband in Milton Township. Through investigation, it was determined she dialed 911 in fear of him carrying out those threats. He was later located and arrested, charged with Domestic Violence Criminal Threatening. Trooper Casey responded to the Sunday River Road in the Town of Newry for a reportable crash. Upon arrival there, Trooper Casey determined that the occupants fled the scene and were most likely intoxicated. Through investigation, Trooper Casey located both male occupants in a residence nearby and began speaking with the operator. The operator admitted to consuming liquor all day at Sunday River establishments and then operating the vehicle. He was subsequently arrested after failing field sobriety testing. He was charged with OUI, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident and Failure to Report an Accident by Quickest Means. Trooper Physic conducted a DRE examination for Trooper Russell and found the suspect was operating under the influence of drugs. Trooper Smith’s investigation of a motor vehicle crash in Otisfield lead to one male being charged with failing to report by quickest means. Trooper Cote was traveling southbound on the turnpike in Auburn when a vehicle passed him at 97 M.P.H. in the posted 65 M.P.H. zone. He stopped it and summonsed the adult male operator for Criminal Speed. He told Trooper Cote that he had been in a hurry because he was late for traffic court in Portland as a result of previous speeding ticket. |
