Troop A news, 12/16 to 12/22

12-20-12 at approximately 1936 hours, Milton PD requested our assistance in attempting to locate a subject who fled after getting into a physical altercation with his wife. Milton PD advised the suspect, a 44 y.o. male from Lebanon was also wanted out of New Hampshire for assault. Sgt. Burke, Tpr. Pappas, and Tpr. Wells responded to the Lebanon/Milton line to assist with the canine track. Tpr. Wells set up on the subject’s residence, while Sgt. Burke and Tpr. Pappas started the track. After approximately 3 miles of tracking the suspect through the woods, the canine team located a relative of the subject whom was extremely uncooperative. The suspect was believed to be in a residence but the homeowners were not willing to cooperate with police. New Hampshire terminated the track and will be placing an arrest warrant out for the subject.

12-21-12, Troopers from Sections 1, 2 and 3 conducted details at York County Schools. The Troopers conducted high visibility school visits and meetings with school administrator in towns throughout York County. The detail was aimed at alleviating tensions arising from rumors of possible school attacks in the county.

12-22-12 Tpr. Coflesky stopped a 31 y.o. male from Lebanon for an inadequate registration plate light. Upon further investigation Tpr. Coflesky learned that the subject’s license was suspended as well as his vehicle’s registration. Subject was summonsed for both offenses.

12-19-12 Tpr. LiBritz investigated a crash on Route 111 in Alfred. A passerby reported the crash at 0438 hours and it was determined the driver fled the scene. Negative contact has been made with the registered owner and a hold was placed on the vehicle. The registered owner was out of Lebanon NH and they advised she had several in-state warrants. The crash is still under investigation.
