Major Crimes Unit South Weekly Highlights 11/26/2012

Det. Ross attended an initial appearance for Lebon Bruno D.O.B. 02/25/73 on Monday for the murder of Elizabeth Williams at the Sunrise Motel in Saco.

Several members of the Unit attended the promotions of Det.’s Farley and Kennedy.

The entire Unit attended the Fall training in Bangor on Domestic Violence Homicide investigations.

Sgt. Holmquist along with Det.’s James, Hainey, Kennedy, Chavez and Farley, assisted the Maine warden Service with the investigation of a hunting death in Wales.

Det. Pike was assigned a DHHS referral in Limerick.

Det. Pike continues to investigate the interstate stalking case out of Limerick; she met with the U.S. attorney's office for grand jury, scheduled for tomorrow.

Det. Kennedy worked on a DHHS referral in Parsonsfield.

Det. Edstrom is continuing working on a background investigation.

Polygraph Weekly:

Det. James attended the DV homicide training in Bangor and then worked the shooting death in Wales Tuesday night and all day Wednesday. He was On-Call for the holiday weekend. He also worked on his in-service training and policy reviews.

Det. King attended the Domestic Violence training in Bangor. Also, congrats as she was accepted on the Crisis Negotiation Team and will be attending training for this in March.

Sup. Ferland conducted a forensic test for the DA’s office in Aroostook County regarding a bank robbery in Island Falls. The suspect had already been charged; failed the test while his attorney monitored, and a plea will likely occur. He as well attended the mandatory DV training.
