This week Troop J responded to 146 calls for service. The following are noteworthy complaints:
Trooper Keith York summonsed Daryn Antil (18), of Milbridge, for Criminal Speed on Route 1 in Cherryfield.
Trooper Keith York summonsed Neil Small (75), of Steuben, for Shoplifting and issued him a trespass warning not to return to Bayside Supermarket in Milbridge.
Trooper David Barnard, Trooper Brian Bean and Trooper Greg Roy responded to the Pembroke Mobil for a report of someone finding a pipe bomb. The device was located and removed by Trooper Barnard and Trooper Bean.
Trooper Cliff Peterson received a harassment complaint in Penobscot. The person was located and warned not to call, text or go to the residence.
Trooper Andrew Foss responded to a family fight in Pembroke. This was found to be verbal only and everything worked itself out prior to arrival.
Trooper Chad Lindsey summonsed Brian Duncan (20) in Alexander for criminal speed.
Trooper Michael Southard responded to an assault complaint in Hancock. The complainant refused to cooperate with the investigation.
Sergeant Jeffrey Ingemi arrested Travis Yeaton (28) in Calais for having two active warrants for his arrest. He was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over for traffic violations. Probation also put a hold on Yeaton for not checking in on time. Trooper Chad Lindsey assisted.
Trooper Daniel Ryan handled a criminal mischief complaint in Blue Hill where a door was reported damaged. Investigation continues.
Trooper Andrew Foss responded to Pembroke for a threatening complaint. All parties were warned for harassment.
Trooper Chad Lindsey summonsed Alisa Chalout (28) in Pembroke for a traffic infraction of operating after suspension.
Sergeant Timothy Varney responded to a crash on Route 193 in Beddington. The person lost control of his Ford Expedition on black ice, went off the road and struck a utility pole.
Trooper Bryan Creamer summonsed Florence Fregeau (43), of Machias for Improper Plates on Route 182 in Franklin.
Trooper Kim Sawyer responded to a crash on the Charlotte Rd in Baring. The person slid off the road on black ice and damaged his vehicle.
Trooper Greg Roy arrested Terence Odell (23), of Stonington for OUI as the result of a traffic stop in Blue Hill. Odell was transported to the Hancock County jail.
Trooper Cliff Peterson investigated a burglary complaint in Mariaville. It was reported that an Allis Chalmers Garden Tractor, a tiller and mower deck had been taken from a barn on the property sometime since August. The tractor was approximately fifty years old. The investigation continues.
