This week Troop J responded to 153 calls for service. The following are noteworthy complaints:

06-16-12

Trooper Kim Sawyer summonsed Glenn E. Chapman (47) of Waite for Operating without a license after a traffic stop for speed on route 1, Waite.

06-17-12

Trooper Chris Smith responded to TWP 34 on the Stud Mill Road for a Jeep rolled onto its side. After further investigation Trooper Smith located the person. Investigation continues.

06-18-12

Trooper Daniel Ryan handled a theft complaint in Deer Isle where prescriptions medications were reported stolen. Investigation continues.

Trooper Jason Fowler handled a burglary complaint in Robbinston where copper piping was stolen from a seasonal residence. Investigation continues.

Trooper Michael Southard arrested Joshua McKinney (25) in Hancock for violation of conditional release. He was also summonsed for possession of scheduled drugs and possession of hypodermic apparatus. Hancock Sheriff’s Office assisted.

Trooper Andrew Foss handled a bad check complaint in Pembroke where Adam Farley (33) was summonsed for negotiating a worthless instrument.

Trooper Michael Southard handled a burglary complaint in Sullivan where a door was damaged on a rental property. Investigation continues.

Trooper Daniel Ryan assisted the ambulance service in Deer Isle with a subject that overdosed on medications. She was transported by the ambulance to the hospital.

Trooper Daniel Ryan handled a fraud complaint in Sedgwick where a woman received a call that a family member was in jail and needed to be bailed out. No money was given. Investigation continues.

Trooper Chad Lindsey assisted EMS with an overdose patient in Danforth which was transported to a local hospital after taking prescription medications.

Trooper Kim Sawyer received a complaint in Robbinston/Calais that someone had tried to gain entrance to the home and believes that they gained entrance to the barn. Investigation continues.

Trooper Chad Lindsey summonsed Brittany Polk (26) in Baring for a traffic infraction of operating after suspension.

Trooper Chad Lindsey arrested Michael McPherson (64) in Calais for having an active warrant for his arrest.

Trooper Greg Roy investigated an assault complaint from in Eastbrook. The complainant reported being assaulted by two males. Trooper Roy investigated the complaint and found the allegations to be unfounded.

Trooper Jason Fowler summonsed Neil Grass (54) from Vanceboro on Bailey Hill in Baileyville for criminal speed.

Trooper Jason Fowler responded to a personal injury crash in Kossuth Township involving two tractor trailers, and a passenger van. One of the tractor trailers caught fire as a result of downed live electrical lines. Route 6 was closed for several hours.

Trooper Greg Roy responded to a single vehicle motor vehicle accident in Orland. Trooper Roy arrested Michael Ricci (27) of Norway for Operating Under the Influence.

Trooper Greg Roy received a request from the Bar Harbor Police Department to attempt to locate a motorcycle that fled the scene of an accident in Bar Harbor. Trooper Roy located the vehicle on Route 3 in Trenton and attempted to stop it. The motorcycle failed to stop and fled at a high rate of speed. After a two mile chase, the operator of the motorcycle lost control while attempting to turn onto the Jordan River Rd. in Trenton. The male again tried to flee and Trooper Roy had to forcefully remove the operator as he tried to drive away. Brandon Brown (24) of Franklin was arrested for Eluding an Officer, Operating Under the Influence, Resisting Arrest, Criminal Speed, Driving to Endanger, Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident. He was also cited for having no insurance and an expired inspection sticker.

Trooper Greg Roy arrested Sidney Griffin (43) of Franklin for Operating Under the Influence and Operating Without a License – Beyond Conditional Restriction as a result of a traffic stop on Route 182 in Franklin.

Trooper Chris Smith arrested Adrian Simmons (26) from Machias on an outstanding warrant.

Sergeant Jeffrey Ingemi arrested Joshua Smith (33) in Machias for operating under the influence of alcohol. Machias Police Department assisted.

Trooper Daniel Ryan handled a theft complaint in Franklin where jewelry was reported stolen. Russell Shanngle (23) was summonsed for theft.

Trooper Daniel Ryan handled a harassment complaint in Sullivan. The complainant was advised on how to get a protection order if needed.

Trooper Daniel Ryan conducted a well-being check in Hancock at the request of a family member. The family member was fine.

Trooper Daniel Ryan handled a criminal mischief complaint in Hancock where damage was done to a residence during an attempted burglary. Investigation continues.

Trooper Chad Lindsey responded to a burglary complaint in Lubec where batteries, scrap metal and ladders were reported stolen. Mary Knox (43) was summonsed for burglary and theft.

Trooper Chad Lindsey arrested Luke Brown (23) in Charlotte for Operating Under the Influence of alcohol.

Trooper Michael Southard handled a harassment complaint in Franklin. The complainant was advised how to get a protection order if needed.

Trooper Michael Southard handled a fraud complaint in Hancock. Investigation continues.

Trooper Greg Roy received a theft report in Blue Hill reporting that one of the signs advertising for a local mud run event was stolen from the side of the road in Surry. Investigation continues.

Trooper Daniel Ryan handled a found property complaint in Castine where a cell phone was located.

Trooper Staci Carpenter responded to a disorderly conduct complaint in Hancock. One party was warned for conduct and told not to return to the residence. Sergeant Jason Richards and Trooper Greg Roy assisted.

Trooper Chad Lindsey summonsed Harvey Hanington (72) in Danforth for a traffic infraction of operating after suspension.

Trooper Greg Roy received a theft report in Frenchboro. The complainant stated that sometime in the last two weeks, a large amount a scrap metal was stolen from the property. Investigation continues.
