Major Crimes Unit South Weekly Highlightst 5/28/2012
Det. Ross attended the arraignment of Michael Swenson in York County Superior Court. Swenson was arraigned for the murder of Roger White which occurred in Old Orchard Beach in April.
Det. Ross is investigating the alleged sexual assault of a fifteen year old female by her 67 year old grandfather in Limington.
Det. Ross is following up on a new lead in the Theresa Duran homicide which occurred in Gorham in 1984.
Det. Ross coordinated a search with the dive team in Auburn for evidence used in a double homicide in New Gloucester.
Det. Holmquist continued his work with a significant prostitution investigation.
All members of MCUS attended firearms training last week.
Det. Chavez continues to work on the Faye Johnson missing person case from Bethel. He was also assigned a child abuse case in Otisfield.
Det. Leighton continued his work on the Fesmire Homicide.
Det. Edstrom completed a background investigation and conducted follow-up on a DHHS referral as well as worked on a Gross Sexual Assault from the Androscoggin County Jail.
Det. Keaten conducted follow-up on several cases including the Kim Moreau Missing Person investigation.
Det. Hainey conducted follow-up on a DHHS referral and continued his work on the Folsom Homicide.
Det. King conducted a criminal test for Tr. Lacoste regarding a theft/forgery case. She also conducted a forensic test for Det. Jackson. She also attended firearms training and the sentencing of Brian Nichols, (Jane Tetreault homicide) who received a 40 year sentence after pleading guilty to murder.
Sup. Ferland conducted 3 pre employment polygraph exams on Trooper applicants.
