This week Troop J responded to 190 calls for service. The following are noteworthy complaints:

05-07-12

Trooper Staci Carpenter responded to a late report of a violation of protection order in Dennysville. Brian Nichols was summonsed for violation of protection order.

Trooper Jessica Shorey handled a criminal mischief complaint in Township 10 where a shed door was reported damaged. Investigation continues.

5-8-12

Trooper Daniel Ryan handled a phone harassment complaint in Trenton. It was determined to be unfounded.

Trooper Daniel Ryan handled a bad check complaint in Lamoine. Investigation continues.

Trooper Miles Carpenter responded to an assault complaint in Pembroke where Justin Grey (35) was arrested.

Trooper Greg Mitchell investigated a hit and run crash that occurred on Rt-3 in Trenton. The respondent was identified as Thomas Smith (22) of Lamoine. Smith had struck another vehicle on Rt-3 and then fled the scene back to his residence in Lamoine. Smith was summonsed for leaving the scene of a personal injury crash and for failure to provide evidence of insurance.

Trooper Chris Smith investigated a theft in Dedham.

Trooper Chris Smith received a found set of keys in Franklin. The assortment of keys were found on Route 200 in Franklin.

Trooper Daniel Ryan handled a vehicle theft complaint in Brooklin where a pick-up was reported stolen. Investigation continues.

Trooper Daniel Ryan handled a burglary complaint in Blue Hill where a seasonal residence was reported broken into. Investigation continues.

Trooper Chad Lindsey responded to a criminal mischief complaint in Wesley where a vehicle was damaged and items stolen from inside during the night. Investigation continues. Trooper Andrew Foss assisted.

Trooper Staci Carpenter responded to an assault complaint in Perry.

Trooper Greg Mitchell investigated a theft of services complaint that occurred in Orland.

05-11-12

Trooper Greg Roy received a burglary complaint from a security officer reporting a burglary in Franklin. Sometime in the last week items were stolen from one of the buildings. Investigation continues.

Trooper Greg Roy arrested Robert Bishop (34) of Franklin for Operating Under the Influence of Drugs and Operating Without a License as a result of a traffic stop on Route 200 in Franklin. Deputy Larry Fickett assisted.

Trooper Jason Fowler arrested Brent Guptill (48) for OUI and Failure to Register Motor Vehicle >150 days as the result of a traffic stop in Princeton.

Trooper Greg Mitchell joined other area law enforcement in the Surry Elementary School mini-course activity. Surry students were able to spend several hours talking with officers from the State Police, Sherriff’s Office, Marine Patrol and Warden Service.

Trooper Miles Carpenter responded to a possible intoxicated ATV operator in Columbia. Upon arrival he located and arrested Thomas Bouchard (40) for operating under the influence of alcohol.

Trooper Jessica Shorey handled a harassment complaint in Hancock.

Trooper Chad Lindsey arrested Marie Victory (66) in Jonesboro for operating under the influence of alcohol. Trooper Andrew Foss assisted.

Trooper Chad Lindsey arrested Sheila Lank-Soule (43) for operating under the influence of alcohol in Pembroke. Penny Barakate (45), a passenger, was also arrested for having an active warrant for her arrest. Trooper Andrew Foss assisted.

Trooper Michael Southard arrested Anthony Hammett (28) in Blue Hill for operating after suspension.

Trooper Greg Roy summonsed Damon Urban (41) of Blue Hill for Operating After Suspension as a result of a traffic stop on Route 1A in Dedham.

Trooper Jessica Shorey responded to a crash report in Hancock where she arrested Peter Hansen (42) for operating under the influence of alcohol. Trooper Michael Southard assisted.
