This week Troop J responded to 151 calls for service. The following are the noteworthy complaints:

04-30-12

Trooper Staci Carpenter received a criminal mischief complaint in Lubec. It was reported that someone had been driving across the runway at the airport in Lubec during the night and damaged the grass.

Trooper Chris Smith received a report from U.S. Fish and Wildlife Officer Jay Perez who reported several mailboxes vandalized in Steuben. Officer Perez reported that the mailboxes are within the Petit Menan Wildlife Refuge however he was looking for assistance with the investigation. No suspects or leads at this time. Investigation continues.

Trooper Chad Lindsey summonsed Carl McKain (63) in Cooper for operating without a license.

Trooper Cliff Peterson received a complaint of a theft from a motor vehicle in Dedham. Hancock Sheriff’s Office had also investigated several complaints of burglary of motor vehicles over the weekend. The investigation continues.

Trooper Jessica Shorey handled a burglary complaint in Aurora where a camp was broken into and items stolen. Investigation continues.

Trooper Chad Lindsey summonsed Connie Polk (33) in Wesley for operating after suspension. He also arrested Polk for violation of conditional release. Trooper Andrew Foss assisted.

Trooper Chad Lindsey handled a theft complaint in East Machias where items were reported stolen. Trooper Andrew Foss assisted. Investigation continues.

Trooper Michael Southard handled a theft complaint in Blue Hill where a ladder was reported stolen. This was determined to be a civil matter.

Trooper Jessica Shorey handled a theft complaint in Franklin where lawn mower equipment was reported stolen. Investigation continues.

Trooper Greg Roy received a theft complaint in Verona. It was reported that a flower pot barrel had been taken from the end of his driveway sometime during the night.

Trooper Greg Roy received an anonymous report of an underage drinking party in Orland. Trooper Roy located the residence and determined that several minors had been drinking. Alecia Smith (24) was summonsed for Furnishing a Place for Minors to Consume Alcohol.

Trooper Chris Smith investigated a theft of copper from a camp in Aurora. This is the 3rd reported theft from a camp in the area. Investigation continues.

Trooper Chris Smith investigated a burglary in Sullivan. It was reported that it appears only costume jewelry has been taken. Investigation continues.

Trooper Kim Sawyer received a report in Robbinston that someone had damaged a door trying to gain entrance.

Trooper Kim Sawyer summonsed Ronald Metcalfe (66) of Quebec Canada for OAS-Failure to Pay a Fine after a traffic stop on route 9, Crawford.

Trooper Greg Roy responded to a rollover accident on the Stud Mill Road. The operator, was transported to EMMC to be treated for minor injuries.

Trooper Jason Fowler received a criminal mischief complaint in Robbinston. It was reported that six tires on a vehicle had been slashed and someone threw a gallon of spoiled milk on the truck. The investigation continues.
