Troopers call parents hoping to make a difference
May 12, 2006
Parents continue to be put in the loop when their teenagers are found in dangerous situations. Trooper Cliff Peterson from Troop J stopped a car driven by a teenager along Route 9 in Aurora last week for 30 miles over the speed limit. The teen’s parents were called. Another young driver passed a trooper in an unmarked car along Interstate 95 in Clinton. Trooper Sean Kenney said the car was going 100 mph and the driver was also found to be suspended. There was a 17 year old passenger and her parents were called. The notification effort is part of the Safeguard Program that began last summer.
