New Data Center Development Process Update
The five proposals for development of a new data center which were received in January have been reviewed and scored by representatives of OIT and the Bureau of General Services (BGS) staff.
Consensus-based scoring was used. Since no one proposal encompassed all the required elements to be viable for further consideration, both OIT and BGS staff agreed to reject all five proposals and re-bid the project. A new RFP is under development by staff from the two agencies.
New OIT Office Space Update
The project team continues to work through the drafting of the Request for Proposal (RFP) and determination of the square footage that will be required. Pilot telecommuting project results will be used to determine the impact of telecommuting in "right-sizing" the new space. The target date for release of the RFP is the end of May.
