Integrator Award
By Britton Child, InforME Maine State Employees Combined Charitable Appeal (MSECCA) Charitable Online Giving won the 2009 Best Fit Integrator award; http://www.centerdigitalgov.com/survey/84 . The awards were the result of public sector IT groups across the nation nominating their partner integrators whose solutions proved exceptional in areas such as cost savings, consolidation and public access. Nominations are made to the Center for Digital Government each spring in April - May. Cathilea Robinett, Executive Director of the Center, who announced the winners said, “We see in these winning projects how collaboration in solving digital problems is so vital to the modernization of government and its moving into the 21 st Century. Congratulations to all the winners for the excellent solutions created for public sector partners.” MSECCA is an annual campaign that is overseen by a committee of state employee volunteers, who recognize the importance of helping out their friends and neighbors who are in need of charitable contributions. This past year the State of Maine made enhancements to the service, implementing a complete end-to-end solution that included a new back-end database and a comprehensive administrative site for the campaign administrators and volunteers. The online donation service (interface) will be available to all State of Maine employees and retirees for year round campaign contributions. NIC and Maine Information Network were nominated as the partner integrators for the MSECCA Online Giving web presence. The statutorily created Information Resource of Maine (InforME), is managed by the Maine Information Network, LLC., a wholly owned subsidiary of eGovernment firm NIC (NASDAQ: EGOV). About NIC NIC is the nation's leading provider of official government portals, online services, and secure payment processing solutions.
