Medical Doctor and Physician Assistant Licensee Data

Medical Doctor and Physician Assistant Licensee Data Now Available Online
By Kimberly Duplisea, InforME

The Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine (MBLM) has announced the launch of an online bulk data sales application. Users may create a customized sub-set of medical doctor and/or physician assistant licensee data and make payment for those records by Visa or MasterCard credit or debit cards. The service was developed in partnership with InforME and can be accessed at https://www.maine.gov/online/mblm_bulk.

Licensee data is public information and is made available to the public for a fee. Prior to the online service availability, records were requested via mail or phone. MBLM staff was required to pull together data sets based on the criteria specified and a check or money order was collected prior to the data CD being mailed to the user. This manual process is completely eliminated for online service users. The online service walks users through questions allowing the online system to pull the particular data set together which will be fulfilled immediately following successful payment.
The service launched on April 14, 2009 and is available to users 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The online service complements the suite of professional licensee services which are accessible from www.maine.gov.
