Mobile.maine.gov Recognized

Government Technology, a leading public sector magazine, recently rated the Maine.gov mobile portal with a grade of "A". Maine is one of seven states to receive such a high rating.

Mobile.maine.gov was launched in 2006 and has seen a ten fold increase in users accessing the site. The mobile portal provides information from the full Maine.gov web site in a format friendly to mobile devices. It includes the following features:

Access to Citizen Alerts: State office closings, severe weather and emergency alerts, etc.
Access to State new stories by agency, time period and keyword search
Current weather conditions, by town
Searchable State Agency directory
Searchable town & county directory
Searchable polling place and candidate information
Searchable Public Meeting calendar
Current Lottery numbers

Maine.gov also provides email notifications and Twitter alerts that can be received on any device.

Moblie.maine.gov will continue to be expanded. Mapping features will be added, to include locations of state offices and other state points of interest.
