Wireless Security

A new enterprise wireless security service for laptop users at State office locations will be deployed November 28 through December 17. This is to replace the existing service that expires on December 17. The new service is the first service to be rolled out from the new enterprise infrastructure providing authentication and secure information exchange with the use of certificates.
We have automated this process as much as possible and for most users the roll-out will be invisible. People impacted by this roll-out will be contacted individually by e-mail and are asked to respond as directed.
We anticipate a smooth transition. If you encounter connection issues regarding your State wireless service beginning on November 29, 2007 please contact Customer Support, OIT (OIT.Customer-Support@maine.gov) 624-7700 and specifically identify yourself as a user with access issues to State wireless.
