Policies, Standards and Procedures Adopted

The following policies, standards and procedures were recently adopted by the CIO. All staff engaged in operations, analysis or actions subject to or appropriate for the application of a policy, standard or procedure are responsible for becoming familiar, and complying, with the contents of all policies, standards and procedures. Supervisors are responsible for incorporating standard operating procedures to ensure their staffs are familiar with, and adhere to, the policies, standards or procedures affecting their program functions. All OIT policies, standards and procedures will be posted to the OIT Policy, Standards and Procedures web site upon adoption.
Change Management Standard The purpose of this standard is to provide a set of rules and guidelines so that workers will clearly understand the required change management process.
Standard on E-Mail Global Address List Management The purpose of this standard is to ensure that approved methods and procedures are followed in managing mailbox address/contact information and global distribution lists.
Procedure for Counties and Municipalities Requesting Maine.gov Domain Names The purpose of this document is to define the procedure to be followed by Counties and Municipalities in acquiring domain names in the Maine.gov namespace in accordance with the State's Domain Name Policy.
Procedure for Agencies Requesting Domain Names The purpose of this procedure is to provide a guide to State entities navigating the domain name acquisition and waiver process in accordance with the State's Domain Name Policy.
Standard for the Use of Domain Names The purpose of this standard is to govern the acquisition and use of State agency web domain names.

Software Development Lifecycle Procedure This SDLC Procedure is instituted in order to support the SDLC Policy.
