Best of the Web

A national panel of judges has determined the winners of the 2007 Best of the Web and Digital Government Achievement Awards. This year Maine is ranked #2, behind Utah #1, and ahead of Virginia #3. This is the sixth win in the seven years since entering the competition that Maine has ranked as one of the top three among all competing states. "The competition was fierce and there were many applications and portals that were top notch. It's clear that America's state and local governments are unrelenting in their pursuit of excellence for the citizens they serve. ", said Center for Digital Government Executive Director Cathilea Robinett.
