Maine residents and visitors looking for a quick and easy way to buy Maine state park passes can once again purchase the affordable season passes online. The Maine Department of Conservation, Bureau of Parks and Lands, in partnership with InforME, is offering a secure, convenient and accessible method for purchasing season passes to all 48 state parks and historic sites using a new online system.

The park pass service www.maine.gov/online/parkpass is simple to use. Users specify the number of vehicle and/or individual park passes to purchase and provide credit card billing information. All of the user’s data, including payment information, is secured by InforME under the most stringent of security practices. Additionally, payments are processed using the certified CyberTrust Maine.gov payment engine. After the transaction and payment have been submitted and accepted, the park pass and a copy of, “Outdoors in Maine,” map brochure will be mailed to the user within one week.

Park passes purchased through the online system after August 15, 2011 are valid for the remainder of the 2011 season in addition to the entire 2012 season.
