Have You Reserved Your Maine State Campground?
The Department of Conservation is currently taking reservations through their improved system that allows campers to reserve a campsite at any of Maine's 12 state parks 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Payment for reservations can be made by Visa, MasterCard, or Discover credit and debit cards. This service was developed in partnership with InforME and can be accessed at http://www.campwithme.com .
The enhanced reservations website offers users a manner by which they can easily search for and view descriptions of parks and sites in real-time, add an available site to their shopping cart and proceed to checkout. Once checkout is completed, the user will receive a permit on screen and via email that must be taken to the park upon site check-in. The online service also offers users a method to reprint this permit at anytime.
In addition to the reservation functionality, the online service provides users with the ability to cancel a reservation at anytime up until the reservation arrival date. Once the user submits all required information for a reservation cancellation, the user's credit card will be credited and their sites are put back into the available inventory for other users to reserve.
The reservations service opened on February 1, 2011 at 9:00 AM for Sebago-only reservations and February 8, 2011 at 9:00 AM for all other parks.
