2009 MSECCA Campaign

Dear Colleagues:

For three decades, the Maine State Employees Combined Charitable Appeal (MSECCA) has created hope and opportunity for our neighbors in need. As the 30 th MSECCA campaign begins, I'm writing to ask for your help.

If you've donated to this incredible effort in the past, thank you so much, and I hope you'll participate again this year. As of today, the online giving website is ready for your visit at http://www.maine.gov/msecca . To those who have never contributed, I join dozens of dedicated State Employees who volunteer their time and energy to MSECCA each year in asking you to consider a donation---of any amount.

This year's MSECCA goal of $400,000 is an important target, but it may be more meaningful to simply increase the number of people who take part. Through a donation of even one dollar, you can help to expand this campaign and positively impact lives.

To be honest, the economic challenges facing Maine and the nation make MSECCA more important than ever before. And because we are all thinking carefully about how to spend our money, I can assure you that MSECCA offers a quick, convenient and secure way to contribute to the charities of your choice or to make a general donation. There is a way to use payroll deduction or to make a one-time contribution. The options for giving are numerous, and it only takes a few minutes by visiting http://www.maine.gov/msecca .

The MSECCA volunteers listed below are available to answer your questions and to assist you in making a donation. If you would prefer to contribute by cash or check, rather than online, your agency's volunteer can help. In the coming days, these wonderful volunteers will also be in touch to tell you about prizes and other incentives available to those who take part.
