Any entity other than a sole proprietor will need an EIN to register for a tax number. Employer Identification Numbers are issued by the I.R.S. You can access their home page at www.IRS.Gov. Enter SS-4 under search. You will need to select the SS-4 form and/or instructions. You should read the instructions before filling out the application.
