07. I need to file an amended tax return. Can this be done on-line?

Unfortunately, amended returns cannot be filed on-line. To file an amended return: Using a blank tax return, enter all the information as it should have been filed for that period. Important: Make sure to enter your tax number and the correct period you are amending. Print amended in bold letters at the very top of the return.

If you do not have a blank tax return, go to: http://www.maine.gov/revenue/ On the left side under Bureau Information, select Sales/Use & Service Provider Tax. For a blank Service Provider tax return select Service Provider Tax in the drop down box. For a blank sales tax return on the left under Quick Links, select Sales Tax Return.
