06. How does Maine classify a Limited Liability Company for income tax purposes?

A domestic limited liability company or a foreign limited liability company doing business in Maine is classified as a partnership for Maine income tax purposes unless classified otherwise for federal income tax purposes, in which case the limited liability company is classified in the same manner for Maine income tax as for federal income tax purposes.
