5. If the agency/office has more than one producer that has collected surplus lines premiums, can they combine and file just one return?

No. Each producer is separately responsible for the tax on surplus lines premiums from policies placed by that producer. Each producer must establish a separate account by registering with Maine Revenue Services and file separate returns.
