Does Maine Distinguish Between Business and Non-Business Income?Although many states segregate a corporation’s income into business and non-business income, Maine does not make such distinctions. Instead, a corporation is allowed to deduct all income that Maine is barred from taxing due to constitutional limits or federal prohibition. All remaining income is apportioned. 8/07 |
