Augusta - Inn at City Hall
The former Augusta City Hall, constructed in 1896, is a certified rehabilitation project completed in 2002. Individually listed in the National Register of Historic Places, this building was slated for demolition in 1996 when it was saved by Housing Initiatives of New England. Federal and State Rehabilitation Tax Credits in conjunction with the Low-Income Housing Tax Credits helped to make the Inn at City Hall a model historic preservation success story.
