Commissioner Kurtz is the Invasive Plant Program Director of the Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust. She also serves as the director for EcoVenture, the organization’s environmental day camp, and is president of the Rangeley Lakes Association. As a coordinator of the Scenic Byway, she worked with the Maine Department of Transportation and the local Scenic Byway Council to coordinate interpretation, enhancement, and the marketing of National Scenic Byways. As a wildlife biologist, Rebecca studied methyl-mercury contamination and reproductive success in loons. Rebecca is a scuba diver, a Board member on the Maine Congress of Lake Associations, and a member of the Rangeley Region Trails Partnership. |
