Edward B. Laverty, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Public Administration at the University of Maine. He has worked with local, state, national, and international, nonprofit and public organizations in strategic planning, transformational leadership, organizational development, policy formulation and implementation, community development and organizational ethics. He has been extensively involved in state and local government having served on numerous boards and commissions including the Maine Board of Environmental Protection, and the New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission. He has also served as Chair of the Planning Board, Tax Assessor, Selectman, and President of the Medford Housing Authority in Medford, Maine. He is the former Dean of the College of Arts and Humanities at the University of Maine and was the founding President of the American University in Bulgaria. |
