Moosehead Lake Report

Foliage around Moosehead Lake region is at it's finest, thanks to a moderate leaf drop during peak color. Birches, which are the first to drop their pale yellow leave, have lost about half their foliage. But most hardwoods, including the brilliant yellow and scarlet colored maples, are clinging to their leaves. I expect a rapid leaf drop if we see heavy rain or heavy wind, so don't put off your leaf peeping much longer!. You won't want to miss this peak color in near-full foliage.
