Regional ARRA Accounting Trainings

RE: Regional ARRA Accounting Trainings  

The purpose of this letter is to invite school administrative unit personnel and Child Development Services regional site directors to one of two regional trainings by the Office of Inspector General on either May 3, 2010 from 1- 4 PM at the Elks Club, Civic Center Drive, Augusta or  May 4, 2010 from 9-12 noon at the Black Bear Inn, Orono, Maine. This training will provide participants with an opportunity to understand the federal expectations on accountability for the 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act [ARRA] funds, including the standards for audits that are to be completed.

Directions to the Elks Club:

From Points South: Take Interstate 95 North to Exit 112 B. Proceed North on Civic Center Drive (Routes 11, 27 and 8) for approximately 1 ¼ miles. The Elks Club in on the right.

From Points North: Take Interstate 95 South to Exit 112. Turn right off the ramp. Proceed North on Civic Center Drive (Routes 11, 27 and 8) for approximately 1 ¼ miles. The Elks Club is on the right.

Directions to the Black Bear Inn:

From Points North:
Head South on I-95. Take exit 193 (Old Town/Stillwater); turn left at Stillwater Avenue; turn right on Godfrey Drive.

From Points South: 
Head North on I-95.  Take exit 193 (Old Town/Stillwater); turn right at Stillwater Avenue; turn right on Godfrey Drive.
