The Report of Adult Education for Subsidy Purposes (EF-M-39B) for the period July 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009 is available on the Department of Education’s Web page. This form must be completed and returned no later than January 15, 2010. This form may be downloaded from the Department of Education’s Forms Page at:

Who is required to file this report?

This form is required for the collection of subsidy data on secondary school age persons who are not attending a public school and who are enrolled in an adult education course pursuant to 20-A MRSA, section 8605. The statute is available at the following website:

Each School Administrative Unit (SAU) is required to complete a form even if there are no students to report. Each municipality in a School Union must file a separate report. Each Alternative Organizational Structure (AOS) need only file one cumulative report comprising all member entities.
