The changes are for:
Commissioner of Education Susan A. Gendron and Commissioner of Health and Human Services Brenda Harvey will be presenting an informational PowerPoint presentation at 3:00 p.m. this Thursday, January 31, 2008, over the ATM to explain the proposed new federal policies and the implications. In order to maximize accessibility to the presentation, especially given the short notice, we are seeking to make available as many of the ATM sites as possible. That means, by necessity, that the presentation will be one-way (no opportunity for interaction). However, your feedback is vital to our ability to respond to this development and so we are seeking to place DOE and/or DHHS personnel at as many of the locations as possible – they will be prepared to ask for your feedback and your suggestions for possible solutions. We will know by shortly after noon on Wednesday which ATM sites will be available and which will be staffed by an agency person. If you attend a session that is not staffed, you will be given information about how to send in your feedback by email or other methods. Please check with your nearest ATM site to see if it will be hosting the presentation, or check this web address on Wednesday afternoon for a listing: http://www.maine.gov/education/medicaid.html . This website will also be updated with the PowerPoint presentation and additional information later this week, as it becomes available.
