SUBJECT: Career, Technical and Community College: Virtual Fair

A career, technical and community college virtual fair is available to every Maine high school junior on March 19, 2008 at www.capitalize.com/schoolfair
from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The website will be activated that day.

This fair will feature post-secondary programs from around Maine and New England. Students will be linked with admissions officers via instant messaging, audio and video, enabling them to interact directly with school personnel. School brochures and application materials will also be available for downloading.

Online presentations will include: selecting a school; applying to a school; financing an education; interviewing skills; and writing a resume. Live follow-up support will be available to answer students’ questions.

The career, technical and community college virtual fair is free and open to all Maine students. This is an opportunity for students to have access to information in a comfortable, economical format.
