Please note that we have extended the deadline. You should complete and submit this report no later than Monday, October 29, 2007.
INFORMATIONAL LETTER: 33 TO: Superintendents of Schools FROM: Susan A. Gendron, Commissioner of Education DATE: September 14, 2007 RE: Essential Programs and Services (EPS) – English as a Second Language (ESL) Information Needed Please complete and submit this report no later than THE NEW DATE OF OCTOBER 29, 2007. The Department is requesting that each School Administrative Unit (SAU) complete and submit the following English as a Second Language (ESL) Program Staff and Expenditures Report. The purpose of this report is to collect ESL information from SAUs, which will then be used in the updating of the ESL weighting component of the Essential Programs and Service funding model, as required by State legislation. In this report you are asked to provide information for the 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 fiscal years. The report can be found and completed at http://www.usm.maine.edu/cepare . We ask that you download a copy, complete the survey, save your electronic copy with your SAU name added to the document name, and then submit your report in one of two ways, either (1) e-mail your report to Ida Batista at mailto:ibatista@usm.maine.edu , or (2) print off a copy of your report and mail it to: CEPARE, c/o Ida Batista, 99 School Street, Gorham, ME 04038.
