Gendron, Commissioner DATE: August 9, 2007 RE: Request for Funds for Miscellaneous Costs Some of you and/or members of your Reorganization Planning Committees (RPCs) have requested follow up information about how you can apply for and receive the $2,500 for miscellaneous costs that I have mentioned at some meetings. Once Reorganization Planning Committees are formed and the member School Administrative Units (SAUs) each have submitted to the Department a Department-approved Notice of Intent, I am making available $2,500 to each RPC for miscellaneous costs. This money can be used as deemed appropriate by the planning committees for expenses such as travel, copying, and clerical support. Please note that the funds are for units involved in the reorganization planning process, not those units planning to file an Alternative Plan. An SAU that is a member of the RPC should be designated to request, receive and manage the funds on behalf of the RPC, whose membership will have the authority to determine how the funds are used. The designated SAU, on behalf of the RPC, may fill out and submit a one-page request form available on the Planning and Resources page of the Reorganization section of our website.
